Children with autism need consistent care and therapy with caregivers who understand their needs. Many families do not have access to specialized care —they may live too far away from care, or simply find it inaccessible based on their circumstances. Telehealth has many advantages, including its accessibility and flexibility. Telehealth can offer an alternative to services provided in-person that may increase access of individuals with ASD to experts (e.g., behavior analysts).
